So, I have spent most of the week working on the shop for the website. This is a few time consuming process.
First, you have to create categories and sub-categories for the products. This way each product can be categorized correctly and made easier to find. Then you have to create and entry for each product. Since my products are unique and individual, then there are a lot of entries to create. I have gotten through about 10 of them or so. It is going to take a while 🙂
I have also had to work on my photos – getting more, formatting them, uploading, etc. This is also very time consuming. And, this makes creating each product even more time consuming as well.
In addition to working on the shop, I decided to research an issue I was having. I have been trying to figure out how to get social media images to be clickable and take someone to my social media pages. I have tried for hours to get this to work through the functions of the widgets within the theme I have chosen within WordPress. Finally figured out last night that there is an option to edit with HTML. This has been a life changer.
I tinkered around with HTML when it first came out, but haven’t touched it in more than 20 years. Cool part is, it was kinda like riding a bike – I was able to pick it back up, with the help of a few reference sites 🙂
So, I finally feel like this might start going much better!! Just going to take time with all the product adds.
